Saturn

At a little over 8.37 astronomical units from earth and an altitude of 49 degrees at culmination, Saturn is currently well placed for observing. Whilst it is now past opposition, which took place on February 24th, it is still a stunning sight. This image was captured on a web cam and is a stack of the best 900+ frames out of a total of over 1200 exposures, processed in Registax.
